What we liked
- + Blueair's most compact purifier, easy to place on a floor corner or shelf in a small bedroom
- + Energy Star Most Efficient rating, listed as using less energy than a light bulb
- + Washable fabric pre-filter comes in three colors so it can blend into the room
Trade-offs
- - Sized for one small room, not for cleaning a whole open-plan apartment
- - Replacement filters are specific to the 511 and add to running costs
